To Discuss:
Managing multi-state payroll is challenging due to varying tax laws, wage requirements, and remote work complexities. Employers must address differences in state taxes, unemployment insurance, and overtime rules while tracking employees' work locations to avoid double taxation. Investing in automated payroll systems, consulting tax experts, and staying updated on state regulations can ensure compliance and minimize risks.
